Announcing the Mobility Awareness Month Contest Winners!
Our NMEDA family would like to send a big “Thank You!” to everyone who participated and helped make the 2016 National Mobility Awareness Month “Local Heroes” contest a success. The campaign finished with 930 online entries that received over 1,164,000 votes.
And the Winners Are…
Special congratulations go to Steve Karmgard, of Genoa, Illinois; Dave Hastings, of Coopersville, Michigan; and John Rose, of Lexington, Kentucky.
Through their stories and dedication to making a difference within their communities, each winner serves as inspiration for countless others currently living with disabilities. All three winners will receive a wheelchair-accessible vehicle that is customized to fit each of the contestants needs.
