National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA)

NMEDA is a non-profit trade association made up of auto mobility dealers, industry partners and rehabilitation professionals dedicated to helping folks with disabilities drive or be transported safely.

When there is a sense of community, there is a gain in confidence!

Muscular Dystrophy Association shares this story of Robert Pipia, a judge in Nassau County, New York, who lives with an undiagnosed neuromuscular disease.

Robert started gaining his independence as a child at MDA summer camps, and from there, he was always ready to take on his next challenge. One day at a time, proving the power of resilience and advocacy.

“If you want to accomplish something, you’ve got to advocate for yourself, and I think that’s the key: to see what level of advocacy is needed to accomplish your goal and then implement it,” he says. bit.ly/3Pahuq8
