Canadian International Auto Show Runs through Feb. 26
That fresh new car smell is in the air as Spring ushers in auto shows all over the world, and Canada is no exception. The 2012 Canadian International Auto Show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre’s two buildings opened Feb. 17 and runs through Feb. 26.
Both are filled with manufacturers exhibiting shiny new cars and the latest equipment—some aimed at those with mobility challenges. The 2 buildings are joined by walkways and escalators with free shuttles running every few minutes between the buildings, including a wheelchair-accessible one.
Purchase tickets at www.AutoShow.ca or in person at the convention ($20 for adults and $7 for children aged 7 to 12.) A support person accompanying a paid person with disabilities is admitted free; go to the show office north MTCC, room 201.

Tips on auto shows
Most shows have ticket discounts for children, senior citizens and the military.
Most auto shows are not targeted to people with disabilities, but have booths with products specifically aimed at those with mobility challenges. Phone ahead for an updated list of exhibitors. Ask if there are any NMEDA members with a booth.
