NMEDA Supports RESNA in New Orleans
NMEDA staff left The Big Easy behind yesterday after the 2023 RESNA Conference concluded. The three-day event – which brought together assistive technology professionals (ATPs), seating and mobility specialists, new and emerging technology experts, students, and other future and current leaders in the rehab technology space – kicked off on Monday morning with NMEDA’s Amy Schoppman introducing keynote speaker Dr. O. After a surprise second line brass band led attendees into the RESNA Experience Hall, NMEDA’s Chuck Hardy was on hand to discuss quality assurance and demonstrate various lifts and hand controls for our booth visitors. Derek Hinsey with local QAP dealer Superior Van & Mobility was also present to explain and demo the features and functions of the wheelchair-accessible Chevy Traverse on display at the conference hotel. The team also reconnected with dozens of VA and Voc Rehab employees, and NMEDA is proud to sponsor this event in partnership with the wonderful team at RESNA.
