QAPx Feature Improvements 1 of 2– Go Live Date
QAPx will be making 2 software updates to improve the integrity of QAP Label number assignment and collect relevant job information.
Thanks to the feedback from our users, we are pleased to announce that we are making improvements to the QAPx software.
What does that mean for QAPx users?
The new features will go live on April 6th, 2026. You will see these new features when you log into QAPx. There are going to be 2 updates to the QAPx software, this will be the first of two releases. We expect to roll out the second release in the coming weeks.
What new features will go live with Release 1/2 on April 6th?
1. QAP Label Assignment – Starting with any new label order on or after April 6th,, your label numbers will be assigned by NMEDA office ahead of shipment. What this means for you is that the assigned QAP labels will be in your locations QAPx inventory. When you assign a QAP Label, the system will check that the label number you picked is one from your inventory. The system will give you an error if not found in inventory. Note that you likely have existing labels on hand. You will be able to enter these labels from your current supply. Once those are exhausted and you order new labels, only the new labels, which will be in your inventory, can be applied.
2. QAP Label duplication – The software will be able to detect if a QAP label number has been duplicated. If the system detects that the label has already been assigned, it will not allow entry of that label number. Note that using the same label number for a returning vehicle is allowed and will be accepted.
3. Payer Information – there will be a new field when you enter a job to select how the job is being paid for. It will be paid by the customer, or a third-party like VA, VR or insurance.
4. Delivery Date – in the past the delivery date was taken as the date the delivery form was signed off. But we know that is not always the actual delivery date of the vehicle, as the form can be signed ahead of, or after actual delivery. There will be a popup you will see when you submit a job that will ask you for the actual delivery date. Enter the date the vehicle was delivered and save.
What if I have questions or don’t understand what I am seeing?
